Jesse Warren's Hall of Fame status was achieved by becoming the ultimate nomad of NFL Europe. In his 3 seasons in Europe between 2001 and 2003 he managed to affiliate himself with 5 of the 6 teams - an amazing feat that surely will never be surpassed!

Jesse played high school ball at the renowned David W. Carter High School in Dallas, Texas. He was all-round phenom playing tight end and defensive line and he garnered numerous accolades for his play. In his senior year (1995) he was named to USA Today's Top-25 High-School All-American honors and was named to Street & Smith's Pre-Season Top-50, First-Team All-State and First-Team All-District honors.

The highly recruited prospect chose to play at the University of Colorado in 1996, and enjoyed a successful 4-year career as a Buffalo which included bowl victories in the Holiday (1996), Aloha (1998) and Insight.com (1999). Although he finished with respectable career totals of 87 tackles and 6 sacks starting most of his final 2 years, his senior year hadn't quite to the promise of his junior season (where totalled 5.5 sacks) and perhaps because of this he wasn't drafted in the 2000 NFL Draft. He later signed with the Tennessee Titans as a free agent and although he didn't make the final roster, he was re-signed after the season and sent to Europe for the 2001 NFLE season.

And that was where the Warren's European Wanderings began!

- Feb 2001: Drafted by the Claymores in the 3rd round (8th Overall) of the 2001 NFL Europe Allocation Draft.
- Apr 2001: Traded by Claymores to Thunder for 'future considerations'. (We are still waiting Berlin!)
- Spring 2001: Plays whole season with Thunder. Starts 10 games and makes 29 tackles and 4.5 sacks. Earns WB IX ring ring by helping defeat Dragons 24-17 with 2 tackles and 0.5 sack.
- Feb 2002: Signs with Thunder as free agent and attends training camp.
- April 2002: Waived by Thunder and put on their practice squad.
- May 2002: Signed by Admirals off practice squad and plays weeks 8 and 9 for them making 2 tackles and 1 sack.
- June 2002: Signed by Thunder for World Bowl X. Earns second WB ring by helping defeat Fire 26-20. Makes 1 tackle.
- Feb 2003: Signs with Galaxy as free agent.
- Mar 2003: Cut by Galaxy at and of training camp.
- Apr 2003: Signed by Fire in time for Week 3 meeting with Claymores
- Spring 2003: Plays 8 games with Fire registering 17 tackles and 3 sacks. Plays in WB XI but loses to Galaxy 35-16. Makes 3 tackles.

Unfortunately Jesse couldn't parlay his NFL European experience into an NFL job. Last we heard he had signed with the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers for 2004. All the best in Canada Jesse and welcome to the Hall of Fame!

Very rare of shot of Jesse (#94 partially obscured) as a Claymore during traning camp in 2001. Within a week he would be a member of the Berlin Thunder.

It all started in 2001 with the Claymores (top left). Then it was onto Berlin for 2 seasons (top middle). In 2003, Jesse appears to have grown a couple of inches with the Galaxy (top right). But then it was onto Rhein where Jesse acknowlegdes our celebration of his touchdown (bottom).

All we need now is a picture of Jesse in a Admirals uniform!

Great Jesse NFLE Moments

2003 - Week 9 Fire vs Thunder: If we had to pick 1 week it would have to be this one as Jeese was named Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts. He recorded 2 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery for a touchdown during Rhein's 28-21 defeat of the Berlin Thunder, and also easily defeated Shuggie in a drinking contest later than evening. Not bad for a day's work really!

Dusseldorf 2003: Jesse enjoys some liquid refreshment after a hard day scoring touchdowns
