Since Nashville
is Music City, USA it had to be that our
hotel pool was gee-tar shaped!
The Ramada
is literally across the road from Adelphia Coliseum and just minutes
from the heart of downtown. A recommended Cheddar stop!

Although
country music rules this town, sworn enemies
of the twangy noise will still have a great time in town. Second Avenue
is buzzing with bars (including a Hooters). Plus there's always Eddie
George's sports bar, with 27's branded onto the steaks. They do some
pretty mean nachos too!
|
|
|
The
sports bar on 2nd Avenue is a good brunch
stop on GameDay. Plus you get a beautiful view of the stadium across the
Cumberland River. Thanks to the wonders of Direct TV we had 7 different
East Coast NFL games on various screens around the bar. Several minor
neck injuries were sustained by keeping updated in every game! |
|
|
There
was good tailgating in Nashville, on both
sides of the river - plus of course on the river itself where several
boats, including a big paddle steamboat were used! |
|
|
Viva
La Santa!
We managed to find some Titans fans that made us look normal. |
|
|
Adelphia
Coliseum is beautiful stadium. On our side we had a cool view of downtown's
skyline as you can see!

Steve
McNair drops
back to pass in the 1st half. Mcnair had a pretty strong 2nd half as the
injury depleted Titans became more of a passing team. He threw for 2TD's
on this day. |
|
|
His first
TD went to RB Mike Green here. It was Green's
first career TD. Green of course was the NFL Europe's Offensive MVP
in 2001 in helping the Dragons get to World Bowl IX.
After falling
behind 10-2 the Titans stormed ahead 26-13 in the 4th quarter.
|
|
|
Another
ex NFLEer had a good game too. Bill Schroeder
here catches a TD from Brett Favre to close the gap to 26-20 midway through
the 4th. Schroeder was a star with the Rhein Fire way back in 97. |
|
|
Could Brett
Favre lead another comeback? Not this time! Here, Jevon
"Da Freak" Kearse breaks free en route to making a
big sack on Favre and forcing a fumble which stalled this drive and
helped seal a Titans win.
|
|
|
However
"tackle of the day" went to the Security Guard who flattened
poor Santa in the dying seconds. Santa had
decided to run onto the field and entertain the crowd, but alas law enforcement
didn't see it this way, much to the displeasure of the booing crowd! Santa
would spend the night in jail ... |

FINAL
TITANS
26 PACKERS
20
Game MVP:
RB Skip Hicks (Ten)
- With Eddie George hurt, his 142 yards and 1TD made a big 2nd half
difference.

|
|
Ex
Claymore Barry Stokes chowing on some food
post game. Now a Packer, Barry played mostly Special Teams on this day.
However another ex-Claymore Marco Rivera started at guard. |
 |
As
much fun as meeting Barry was, the real post game scandal was the apparent
arrest of Titans head coach Jeff Fisher who was pulled over by
a state trooper just after leaving the game! Sadly for Jeff, a kid spotted
this and yelled out what he saw. Seconds later Packer fans were seen at
the scene having a hoot and trying to get autographs off the poor beleaguered
coach! |
