10am |
Set off for "The Jack" and Game 1. But first we must pay our respects at old RFK stadium. In doing so, we almost have our first spectacular crash flying down a stretch of discontinued highway. Ooops! |
Cheddarhead semaphore for Need drink fast. But alas old RFK is shut up ... |
11am |
Load up on supplies. Scary moment as we stop at a Safeway in a slightly undesirable neighbourhood. Being the only two white guys, plus being dressed in kilts gets you noticed! |
12am |
Arrive at Jack Kent Cooke stadium. Forth in the queue for the parking lot. Not bad! Run into out first cool people of the trip - even crazier than us! They had driven all the way from St. Louis for the game. Gates open - let the tailgating begin! |
St. Louis can't be this cold! Next time we pack leg warmers too! |
2pm |
Tailgating in full swing. Meet lots of cool people. Lots of bemused people. The sweet smell of BBQ drifts right across the massive parking lot. |
The Cheddar Mobile
Damn good sausage!
Super Bowl Trophies - cheddared! |
4pm |
Kickoff. The FOX crew has already turned up looking for us and missed us. Ooops. |
Trent Dilfer throws a touchdown. Honestly!
Sorry we missed you FOX! |
8pm |
Washington 20 Tampa Bay 16. Darrell Green seals the win with an INT off LVP Trent Dilfer. Leave Raljon, MD and head for Virginia to the sweet sounds of the Redskins radio network providing great entertainment by ripping the hell out of Trent Dilfer and Mike Shula all night long. |
12pm |
First pit stop off highway 29. Coffee and pie in Shittsville, VA. |
