WEEK 0 - TRAINING CAMP! (Part III) |
The Claymores were up next - against the Purple enemy from Frankfurt! |
Ex Claymores GM Mike Keller was on hand scouting players for the XFL of which he is an integral part of the setup. Here's he is chatting to STV's Graeme Moore, who looks like he could use a beer! Graeme gave us the exclusive scoop that Martin "There's Only One" Giessler will be back in 2000 reporting for Touchdown Scotland! |
The Scottish press was in full force, led by that sun magnet Mr Andy Colvin (center)! Andy was in fine form per usual, and has to be considered unlucky not to make the Cheddar Hall of Fame so far. (The other blonde in the picture is Mrs. Aaron Stecker we're reliably informed - this had nothing to do with us picking him first in the fan player draft!) |
Speaking of defense, if you thought we had some trash talkers last year, then that was nothing! Led by DT Noel Scarlett (#97) (left) and LB Phil Glover (#54) (right) we've got some yappers to go with the best of them! Better still - these guys can back it up! |
There was some serious QB competition in camp this year, where Titans QB Kevin Daft (#13) was fighting off a strong challenge by Chiefs QB Marcus Crandell (#5). Daft should win out, but expect to see both of these guys in action this season! |
RB Aaron Stecker takes a well deserved seat next to S Marcus Ray. |
Daft prepares to let one fly. |
Ex Bengals WR Damon Gibson (#84) will see a lot of the ball this season. Watch for him on punt returns where he'll be a threat to break a big one all year. |
WR Shawn Turner (#18) racks up another 6 points for our boys! [Turner would a casualty of the final cut-down however]. |
Coach couldn't keep with our offense on this day! |
CB Central McClellion - he's always on time! The Claymores secondary looks to be much improved in 2000 (Thank God!) and #29 should be a key part of it! |
Need more proof? Here Central is trying to cover to standout Galaxy WR Kendrick Nord (#18). Can he make the play …. |
Yes sir! Right on time! McClellion is congratulated by S Eric Thigpen (#26) [later cut]. |
Even Super Mario looked worn out after the close attention of our secondary! |
